Wait, What Happened to the Store?

Wait, What Happened to the Store?

Hi, it’s John and Mark.

We haven’t gone anywhere.

After nine wonderful years of shipping socks around the world, creating meaningful jobs, and spreading happiness, we’ve decided to pause our direct-to-consumer online store.

This pause is intentional.

We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.

In the meantime:

  • Our custom socks and business services continue
  • In 2026, we will reintroduce our Sock of the Month
  • We can’t wait to show you what we are working on to make the store even better.
  • Our broader mission lives on through Abilities Rising

Most importantly, John’s Crazy Socks is not closing.

We’re building what comes next.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

We can’t wait to share what’s ahead.

Water Lilies Women's Crew Sock

Water Lilies Socks

Transport yourself to Giverny, France in these Water Lilies Socks! Inspired by Claude Monet’s masterpiece series of 250 oil paintings based on his hometown in Giverny, these timeless, elegant socks are part of our famous artist series.

Monet’s artwork hangs in galleries all over the world: with our Water Lilies Socks, it can hang on your feet, too! These socks turn a couch potato day into a trip to the MET. Buy them for a friend who loves art, or a friend you’d like to trick into loving art. Use them to strike up a conversation with other art lovers and Monet aficionados or to teach your Tinder date a thing or two about art history without having to find an “organic” way to bring it up.

Wear them to a Monet exhibit to show everyone just how dedicated a fan you are. Wear them because while you know nothing about Monet or impressionism or Giverny, you do know something beautiful when you see it and these are some beautiful Water Lilies Socks.

These beautiful socks make a thoughtful gift for the woman in your life.
