This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:

We are excited to introduce our Polar Plunge Socks for the Special Olympics NY. John is a Special Olympics Athlete who does a Polar Plunge fundraiser every year. He designed these socks to celebrate the polar plungers and to raise money for Special Olympics NY. We donate 10% from every pair of the Polar Plunge Socks to Special Olympics NY plus we donate 5 % of our earnings to Special Olympics NY.
These Polar Plunge Socks are perfect to keep your feet and toes warm before and after the plunge. And they make a great gift. If you know someone making a Polar Plunge, you can give them a pair of these socks to show your support. They feature a polar bear and say "Freezin' for a Reason."
What is a Polar Plunge? Supporters get together in the winter and run or dive into freezing water as a sign of bravery, commitment and a bit of lunacy all to support their favorite cause. John says, “I love doing the Polar Plunge. It’s fun and wild and I raise money for the Special Olympics.”
John participates in a Polar Plunge sponsored by the New York State Special Olympics and they run into the Long Island Sound at Cedar Beach in Brookhaven.
