After nine wonderful years of shipping socks around the world, creating meaningful jobs, and spreading happiness, we’ve decided to pause our direct-to-consumer online store.
This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:
Most importantly, John’s Crazy Socks is not closing.

An art contest was run at Indefinite Arts and the winner was chosen by John of John's Crazy Socks. The winning sock was designed by Leonka. Her energy, happy disposition and motivation have driven her to explore different ideas, themes, and mediums within her art practice. Her work is playful, dynamic, and her dedication to craftsmanship shows in the details of her work. She has always had a passion for art, but in her spare time she enjoys volunteering and being a participant in Calgary’s Special Olympics.

Indefinite Arts: The Indefinite Arts Centre provides artistic training, creation, and exhibition opportunities for people – of all ages – with developmental disabilities, and shares the power of their creativity by advocating for their inclusion in the contemporary arts locally and abroad.
