After nine wonderful years of shipping socks around the world, creating meaningful jobs, and spreading happiness, we’ve decided to pause our direct-to-consumer online store.
This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:
Most importantly, John’s Crazy Socks is not closing.

Our own-designed Lioness Socks depict a beautiful lioness on a green background typical of the grasslands and savanna on which she thrives. You can see her strength in her eyes - most lionesses do all of the hunting for the pride. She not only hunts to feed herself but to provide for her family. These socks are manufactured using a sublimation process that permits exquisite detail in the design. You can not only see the lioness' whiskers, but you can literally see the blades of grass! In addition, the sock is extraordinarily comfortable and since there are no threads or knitted seams, individuals with sensory issues with love this design and style.
The Lioness Socks are part of our growing Awareness Collection and we will donate 10% from the sale of each pair of these Lioness Socks to HeartShare Human Services of New York, an organization that nurtures and empowers children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy and supports their families.
