This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:

Ever wondered what books have been banned by schools and libraries? Keep the list close-at-foot with Banned Book Socks! To Kill a Mockingbird. The Great Gatsby. 1984. The Catcher in the Rye. Some of our most revered books were banned in some communities not that long ago. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was banned shortly after its release in 1884. Toni Morrison’s Beloved published just 30 years ago in 1987 has been intermittently banned in some communities because of the frank nature of its narrative. Our Banned Book Socks include one sock with the titles blacked out and the other sock listing the books proudly.
There has always been great power in the written word. The Banned Book Socks celebrate those books that tackled difficult subjects with insight and honesty and made us more aware, smarter and better able to tackle life’s obstacles.
