This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.

We were going to label these
Ladybug Youth Crew Socks under the scientific name for ladybugs,
coccinella magnifica, but “ladybug” seems slightly easier to say. Though you may not remember how many c's are in
coccinellids, it is nearly impossible to forget how unbearably cute the little bugs on the
Ladybug Youth Crew Socks are.
If these socks had come out in America in the early 1900s, most Americans would not have been able to tell you what a ladybug was. Since a popular species of ladybug, the harlequin ladybird, only made the journey from Asia to North America in 1916, its prominence and ecological status has only risen in recent decades. Despite their impacts on local environments, we can't imagine living in a world without them!
