After nine wonderful years of shipping socks around the world, creating meaningful jobs, and spreading happiness, we’ve decided to pause our direct-to-consumer online store.
This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:
Most importantly, John’s Crazy Socks is not closing.

We created these Track and Field Athletic Crew Socks as one of the first in what we hope to become a long line of specific sports-themed socks highlighting the good work and mission of Special Olympics. John has participated in Special Olympics Track and Field events, both regionally and state-wide, for many years!
10% of the sales of these socks is donated to Special Olympics New York which funds athletic programs for more than 45,000 special athletes through New York State without cost to any participant. In part, these socks celebrate the fact that John has been a Special Olympics NY athlete since age 5. We have long said that without Special Olympics, there would be no John's Crazy Socks!
These beautiful and comfortable athletic socks are perfect for competing in your local basketball game or for just wearing around town or relaxing at home.
